Our stay at Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We stayed in the garden bungalow with a beach view, and it was incredible—so private and peaceful with breathtaking views. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going out of their way to make us feel at home. The food was fantastic, and we loved every meal. They were also very accommodating in helping us with transfers to the airport and arranging transportation to restaurants not on the island. The spa was another highlight—so relaxing and tranquil, the perfect way to unwind. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly special getaway!

We were so pleased with our stay at the Sofitel! Check-in was organized and easy, with everything explained to us in detail. We had Garden View Bungalows but were pleased to see that they were right on the water! Our Bungalows were clean and well stocked. We loved the free use of the water sports. We ate at the restaurants multiple times throughout our stay and they were delicious each time. We had room service and it was wonderful as well. We were very pleased with our stay here and will recommend it to others.

Is this Sofitel or is this heaven? If you’re reading this you likely already know about some of the perks (minibar, proximity to airport/ferry, changing room and shower in the lobby, etc.) Here are some things you might not know: - High end espresso machines in each room - EVERY room is free standing and well designed for privacy (angled away from the neighbors, no walls to share with anyone) - You’re never more than a few steps away from that *gorgeous* blue water (yes, it really is that color) and, being a guest of the hotel entitles you to free snorkel, kayak, and SUP rentals. - A local snorkel guide told me THIS lagoon/beach is her favorite on the island. You’ll see fish in 2 inches of water! - While Saturday and Wednesday nights are buffets (not my favorites), you might consider getting a half-board (breakfast and dinner included). Dinner was ordered off a menu and each dinner got to pick an app, entree, and dessert from a very robust selection of DELICIOUS cuisine. - The garden/beach and some overwater bungalows have outdoor showers and that is delightful. My only negative feedback: there aren’t enough pool/beach towels. They treat them like a hot commodity and there just aren’t enough of them around. Otherwise, this vacation was absolute paradise. The staff were so generous and helpful. Our time there was the best vacation we’ve ever had.
