Location was close to everything we needed to do and the station if we needed to take public transport. Staff were friendly and had umbrellas which we needed since the weather was temperamental. Rooms were spacious for Taipei area, beautiful view of city, and modern clean rooms and lobby. Only complaint is that the front desk made us find out where our free gift went since they said they gave it to us when they didn't. They ended up looking back and realizing they gave it to another couple we were traveling with who already had it in their room and made us take it back from them in order to get free gift which we were promised when booking. It was uncomfortable since not only were we getting something that was already in someone else room but it made it uncomfortable asking another couple that was traveling in our group. As a premium hotel I was surprised they made their own guests figure out what they mixed up and fix it for them. Besides that experience when first checking in everyone else was nice and helpful and restored my experience in hotel.
The front desk are manned by a team of wonderful people. Our group of 5 stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and throughout the stay we had made numerous requests, I am totally surprised with the patience and professionalism of the staff. They are one of the best team I had met amongst the many countries I had visited. Special mention must be extended to Mr Victor who had assisted with our luggages and cartons on our departure (18 April25). He is very professional and carry out his duty with much sincerity and passion. I am truly grateful to have been served by such a gentleman! Kudos to VICTOR 👍👍👍👍👍Room1606
New and clean hotel located in the middle of chaotic area. We stayed here for a week during our holiday in Taipei and really enjoyed it, except the surrounding environment. Pros Services are great, receptionists are very welcoming and always helpful for small requests. Breakfast is good and waiters are nice. The gym is small but functional and maintained well. Laundry room is extremely convenient, the machines are available most of the time. Cons Location is bad, in the middle of extremely chaotic Ximen neighbour. Although it is just 5 mins walk from the nearest metro station and also facing the main road, the area is busy 24/7 with food stalls, street performers, beggers, etc which is undesirable for a relaxed holiday. You wouldn't enjoy this area unless you are a teenager. Had I known this, I would have booked a hotel in a completely different area! Housekeeping is 7 out of 10, there are areas of improvement.
