This is truly an incredible resort. Exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It’s hard to find a hotel that has location, service AND good food. Breakfast was curated for every tastebud, featuring local handmade flavors mixed with American favorites. The attention to detail was really remarkable! 1000% recommend!!
From start to finish, our experience at Solaz Resort in Cabo was nothing short of amazing. I spoke with Kayla from the Club Reservations team about two weeks before our arrival, and she was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond—sending thoughtful ideas for our anniversary, recommending excursions, fine dining options, and even transportation tips. When we arrived, our room was beautifully decorated like no other—Kayla truly created a memorable welcome. She greeted my husband and me personally with a warm smile and even a hug, which made us feel like VIPs. Check-in with Arturo was seamless, and we were even handed drinks as we headed to our room. We chose to dine at Mako, where Carlos treated us like long-lost cousins—his energy and hospitality were unforgettable. Each day was filled with poolside relaxation, delicious food, and outstanding service. The Italian restaurant on-site was also a standout—high-quality food in a gorgeous setting. This resort delivered true luxury and relaxing vibes. We’re already looking forward to returning. A Stay to Avoid: Dirty Rooms, Unresolved Issues, and Management Issues! My recent stay was far from satisfactory, marked by uncleanliness and persistent unresolved issues. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment. Upon entering my initial room, I was met with red stains on the sheets and a hanging toilet paper holder in a generally unclean bathroom. This room also faced a noisy street, making for an unpleasant environment. On top of this I paid extra to check in early which was met with resistance. It took approximately an hour for staff to address the sheet issue after I requested a room change. While the customer service from the butlers was commendable, and they genuinely attempted to be accommodating, my personal butler did not follow up with me despite the numerous problems I encountered, unlike the service my family members received. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect was the manager's dismissive attitude. They engaged in what felt like gaslighting and completely ignored my inquiries regarding unrelated charges on my credit card, which ultimately remained unresolved. Despite my pleasant and understanding demeanor, I was forced to escalate the matter to Marriott corporate. I sent a total of four emails inquiring about an erroneous breakfast charge, all of which went unanswered. This experience was deeply disappointing, characterized by a lack of attention to detail, unresolved financial discrepancies, and a managerial team unwilling to address legitimate guest concerns.
