Sonesta Great Bay Beach All Inclusive Resort Casino & Spa Adults Only

I have been to Great Bay 3 times. I love this resort. Its a place I will always want to go back too. Lots to do, shopping, friendly people, always willing to help. The food is great, the ocean view is fantastic! I can't say enough about this little piece of paradise. Rent a car, I believe the Island is 60 miles long, it has some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

Overall had a great experience and would return. Only minor issue were the wifi which only worked in the bathroom in our room and the registration for the dine in (non buffet) restaurants at either or the resorts. We stayed five days but all the reservations were all ready full and we couldn't get a table. Make sure you make your reservations for dinner as soon as you check in. Staff is very friendly and always helpful.

I was severely disappointed during my stay at this hotel. I stayed in mid March 2017. There were some positives but I will note them after. 1. My room was smaller than all the others. If you look at all the rooms from the beach or the street you will see the corner rooms have smaller balconies. From inside the hallways if you look inside a corner room and the room right next door you will see there is about a 2 to 3 foot difference in overall width. I was stuck in a corner room. 2. The water pressure was HORRIBLE. Other guests that we met that were staying in The suites said they had the same problem. The maintenance staff also took over an hour to come to the room to take a look (after 3 calls to the front desk). 3. The casino is not a casino. It's all electronic games. 4. While I was having dinner a couple came down approximately 35 minutes before dinner was supposed to be shut down and the wait staff was already closing up for dinner and told the couple they had to go upstairs to the reservation only restaurant. That didn't sit well with me. They have posted hours for dinner and did not adhere to them. POSITIVES 1. The Lava Rock restaurant was fantastic. You pick your meal and you cook it on a sizzling lava rock to your preference of wellness. 2. The beach is beautiful with fantastic views of the bay. 3. The food was good. Nothing over the top. Not too many choices where you were overwhelmed. If they invested money fixing up the place and getting more food options thus resort would make a lot of money. It's in the right location and has a lot more to offer.
