Sonesta Posadas del Inca Puno

Fantastic place that even has Llama, Alpaca and Guinea pigs. The breakfast selection is very good and the rooms are very nice. Some of the nicest beds I have ever been on. Highly recommend coming if you love Llamas and Alpacas. Thank you to Santiago for being such a good waiter. Hasta la vista! Gracias.

Nice hotel with beautiful location. Interiors are quite old. Bathrooms need restoration. Spa is old and switched on-off constantly so not so comfortable. Breakfast good enough but I would expect more from such a big hotel. All in all nice experience but not high quality.

The hotel is very comfortable and has a great view of the lake. It is a little bit far from downtown, costing 15 soles in a taxi. However, we had a very bad thing happen when we ordered room service. In the cover of the menu, it says that if it takes longer than 30 minutes for the food to come, it will be free. The food took 35 minutes and we mentioned to the waiter, who was very displeased with it. He later came back and said it was only one minute, however when we did the calculations together it was 5. He kept asking us if we were really not going to pay, to which I said that it was the policy of the hotel, not mine. I later went to the front desk and asked if the cost would be taken out of the employees, to which she said yes and then I said I wouldn’t like to harm anyone and that I would pay. She told me that due to all that happened, she would give me a discount. When I go to check out, the front men informed me of the discount and kept asking if we were really not going to pay in full, because it would still be taken out from the employees. We felt bullied the entire time for something that was a promotion that the hotel created. Please remove that from the menu as it only creates problem for your staff and the guests.
