We stayed at Southwark Hotel and Apartments in one of their newly renovated rooms, and it was absolutely spot on. The space was modern, well-designed, and had everything you could possibly need — no clutter, just smart, clean comfort. The location in Christchurch is ideal — central, convenient, and super easy to explore from. Service was smooth and efficient, giving us just the right amount of space and support. I booked a family stay at Southwark Apartments as we have travelled down from Auckland for a wedding. Our stay was absolutely perfect! We had a two-bedroom apartment for my parents and the grandkids, two one-bedroom apartments, and a deluxe studio for my partner and I, along with my siblings. It worked out so well, everyone had their own space, but we were all close enough to hangout throughout the day in the beautiful courtyard and garden area, which is fantastically furnished. The rooms were modern, clean, and really well set up. My parents especially loved the comfort and quiet. The kitchenette in each room was a great touch too, especially for breakfast or a "cuppa" in the morning. The staff were so kind and helpful. Check-in was a breeze, and they really went out of their way to accommodate us, especially when we needed help with carrying luggage up the stairs. You can tell they genuinely care about making your stay easy and enjoyable. The location was spot on, central, safe, and easy to walk around. We had such a nice time exploring Christchurch together, and Southwark was the perfect base. We’ll definitely be coming back for another family trip!

Stayed in the business double room with family for a night at the start of our NZ tour. Hotel is located close to the airport and was easy to find. Parking spot is available but needs to be reserved early. Many shops and restaurants at walkable distance. Beds were comfy and big. Quiet neighborhood so we all had good sleep after our long travel. Room had an attached kitchenette which was helpful.
