Spectacular location with absolutely stunning scenic views from the rooms. Great facilities with a swim out heated outdoor pool, indoor pool and full spa facilities including Sauna and Steam rooms. Staff are incredibly friendly and reflect the fact that it is still a family run hotel. Food was excellent, full buffet breakfast and then a five course dinner every night, where you have a meat/fish/vegetarian option to chose from for your main course. Cheap and efficient transfers from Innsbruck airport are available and Antonio my driver was 1st class. Very convenient for skiing. The ski Bus stops at the hotel every 10 mins in the morning and in the late afternoon, it takes approx 5 mins to get to Mandaflarin and another 2/3 to get to the Glacier express train. Ski storage in the cellar of the hotel also, which is very convenient.

The hotel is a short bus ride away from both Riffelsee and the Pitztaler gletscher. The rooms are big enough, and the amenities are great! Staff was friendly and the food was good.

I wonder why this hotel gets such good reviews. It is old, not well maintained and certainly not a 4-star! The rooms in the separate building did not meet our expectations - everything was old and tired, and the bathroom urgently needed a renovation. The same applies to the plain, cold, and unfriendly swimming pool with zero facilities for children and a questionable "kids playroom". I would not recommend it for families, because if the weather isn't nice the kids would be bored, there is nothing to do. Wellness area needs an upgrade too! Guests staying in a separate building don't even have anywhere decent to change, there are 3 lockers but no proper changing area/room. There are two good things about the hotel: location and food in the evening. At other times, food was rather basic and not really vegetarian-friendly. All in all we did not enjoy our stay in this hotel.
