Our recent 7-day stay at Sporthotel Sonne in the Dolomites was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape. This was truly one of our most memorable vacations. We booked two connected rooms, which were exceptionally spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The views from the entire hotel, were simply out of this world. It felt like gazing upon a living painting, with the majestic Dolomites providing a stunning backdrop. The half-board was a very good. The sheer quantity and exceptional quality of the food were remarkable. We were never left wanting. The spa department was modern and well-equipped, featuring a variety of saunas and relaxation rooms. After a day on the slopes, it was the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate. One of the most impressive features was the ski locker room. It was by far the best we've ever encountered, ensuring our ski gear was perfectly dried and ready for the next day's adventure. Thank you for hosting us; we are coming back for sure!

Family run Hotel with fantastic view of "Sasso Lungo" and "Sasso Piatto". Chef made food is very good in taste and look from starters to desserts. Wine menu a bit overpriced. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ortisei ski school meeting point just outside the hotel, so no hustle going to Compatsch, the centre of Seiser Alm. You need some skiing skills to face red ski runs from the hotel if you want to go to easier blue ski runs of the Highlands.

The hotel is located in an area that requires a special driving permit, which they should but NOT provided to us at the time of booking or check-in. As a result, we were stopped by local police and had to return to the hotel escorted, which was both stressful and embarrassing. The on-site amenities are extremely restricted in terms of opening hours. The sauna is only open from 3–7pm and the outdoor pool from 1–7pm, which makes it almost impossible to use them if you plan to explore the area during the day. These limitations are not disclosed on their public website, and considering the high price point, the value does not match expectations. A male waiter at the restaurant was openly rude. He brought the wrong dish, and instead of correcting the issue politely, he raised his voice and blamed us for ordering incorrectly—without any apology. Additionally, we observed a concerning pattern in seating: nearly all Asian guests were placed indoors while most non-Asian guests were seated outdoors. Whether intentional or not, it raised questions about discriminatory treatment.
