Refreshing stay with the family. Looking at options last minute for the weekend and needing to stay near the private hospital, whilst there was a lot I wasn’t looking to spend a lot of money for 1 night stay and especially on a Saturday which is peak time. Found 2 options Springs or Best Western Plus Apollo International Hotel which both had good reviews and was within our budget. Choose springs in the end and was pleasantly surprised with the 1 night stay - overall I could not find any fault apart from 1 very minor observation but let me summarise :) Getting the to place was straight forward, you go to the car park, follow the blue line and go to the top where you park your car and check-in. Check-in was straight forward, got to our room and was at the back so was quiet. The room and toilet feels like a hotel and everything was clean. I can’t fault anything and we had a double bed and single bed. As my boys wanted me close by, I just moved temporarily the light stand and joined the beds together. The heater worked perfectly and during the cold night left the heater on for 22C on low speed to heat the room comfortably. Again everything was was great and only minor issue is that when I moved the single bed, I noticed a coke bottle so previous guest left it there so house cleaning just needs to check under the beds. Overall the stay was great and glad I chose springs for the 1 night and would recommend. Google classifies this as a motel and based on our stay it didn’t feel like a traditional motel and if anything it’s an up scaled motel 😊 There’s also an rsl club next door which you can go over for food but we didn’t get a chance to go. It doesn’t seem an issue with this being next door as someone noted in their review but it’s an option. Plus there’s ample restaurants around and looks safe to walk around if you ask me. Total cost via booking.com for a last minute Saturday stay was $260 AUD Note: there are some stuff in the fridge which I don’t think is complimentary so I believe it’s a charge if you take anything inside.

A great find for an overnight business stay. Affordable, quiet, comfy beds and good sized rooms. Loved being able to walk through the foot bridge to the restaurant

Stay in Springs Newcastle is recommended. There are 4 Exploren type 2 EV charging poles, which provides great convenience for me. The room size and facilities both are nice. Especially thanks Steve opened the separate doors for my 2 adjacent rooms and carried out vacuuming immediately. Then my grandkids can walk between these rooms at anytime they like 😂 The private footbridge links Springs and Diggers Wallsend together, it provides us convenient access to eat and drink in Diggers club.
