Strandhotel Kärntnerhof

Great hotel in the lovely town of Pörtschach. Hotel has direct access to the lake, nice private beach! Amazing breakfast choice, especially for vegans, best choice of plant-based milks! Hotel is close to town centre, short 5min walk along the lake. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Will come back again!

Very close to the beautiful lake. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Amazing breakfast with lots of Vegan options (never seen so much vegan milk choice in a hotel before). A bit old decoration for my liking otherwise worth a trip.

I am not very sure of the prices since my professor paid for the trip but they own a private beach and have two buildings for the stay, one near the beach and the other on the road side. The conference room is pathetic and therfore I would not recommend this hotel for organizing a meeting or so. The menu stands short on the vegetarian or vegan options and chances are that you will end up eating french fries or some potato pancakes. However informing them in advance about your diet may prevent you from starving. I stayed in the building on the road side. the rooms are spacious and nice. Ther is absolutely no noise from the road side and teh view to the lake is beautiful. The private beach is well maintained and the staff is cordial. There are tennis grounds as well which belong to the hotel.
