I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sumi Shangrila Hotel in Deorali, Gangtok, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambience of the hotel was impressive – warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, with a touch of elegance that added to the overall charm. The food and dining experience were top-notch. The meals were not only delicious but also neatly prepared, reflecting the care and attention put into each dish. The variety of options available ensured that every meal was a satisfying experience, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. The staff at Sumi Shangrila were exceptional – professional, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their service truly stood out, making me feel at home throughout my stay. As for the rooms, they were impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment to unwind after a day of exploring Gangtok. Overall, my stay at Sumi Shangrila Hotel was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gangtok.

I recently stayed at Sumi shangrila deorali and had an amazing experience! The location is perfect—with stunning mountains view. The room was clean, spacious, and well-decorated, with a super comfortable bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Sayanika and Anup at restaurant served delicious food.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had – definitely not worth it. The transportation service was a complete disaster. The drivers were not just unprofessional, but outright rude, with an ego that made basic communication feel like a battle. Despite being heavily overpriced, there was zero courtesy or respect shown toward guests. The rooms were poorly ventilated and felt stuffy – far from what you'd expect at this price point. Yes, the food was decent, but again, ridiculously overpriced with ultra small portions. Overall, it felt like we were being overcharged at every step, only to be treated with arrogance and apathy. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere – your money and peace of mind deserve better
