Summerhills Retreat Byron Bay

Our stay at Byron Bay Rainforest Resort was amazing. It wasn't long enough, so we will definitely go back and stay for at least a week to get to enjoy it and relax. Phillip, our host was fantastic. Very welcoming, informative, and genuine. Thanks, Phillip. The property is beautiful with a pool, spa, and pool table with an indoor lounge area. Our cabin was very clean and pet friendly. You have everything you need in the kitchen. Great stay and very relaxing. Close to town, shops, and beach. Anytime I go to Byron Bay in the future, this is where I'll be staying. Very nice place, good service and Phillip is a good bloke. The internet is strong, no issues there. A little bit away from town but that’s what makes the nature to the place more surreal. I would stay again.

We stayed here for two nights, the owner is very kind and felt very welcomed, great that there is aircon, tv and the linen was very clean, eco friendly, I love that outside our cabin we had fly screen to protect from mosquitoes, it was quiet and relaxing. However I think it was quite gross to not get fresh body wash for each new stay as the option was to reuse a broken pump bottle of body wash and handwash that who knows how many other people have used, the dishes weren’t clean, and the scrubber to do the dishes was filthy, the kitchenette and bathroom was quite “old” and needs a revamp, and for the duty of care for guests there shouldn’t have been mould on the shower curtain or in the vanity. There were cobwebs everywhere and the toilet was leaking. The communal kitchen and lounge area was great but again it needs a deep clean. You can be eco friendly and still hygienic. We enjoyed our stay but it was a bit pricy for the condition of it. Thank you for having us.
