First, the name of the hotel has changed. Now it is called "Mount Zion Hotel".. This hotel gave me my first glimpse of Bujumbura, and I can say that I am in love with the town. The hotel is beautiful, the personal are lovely, the room was great, the food was very good and the service was very pleasant. I'm going to recommend to each of my friends and family members who are planning to come in Burundi.
They have very clean and spacious rooms and good food, especially the Mukeke fish served with plantain 😍😋
The staff was extremely friendly. They were very diligent in bringing the guests a basket of fresh fruit every evening. The rooms I had were nice. The only issues I had were AC not cooling in my first room. In the second room, the showerhead clip was broken so it would come off of the wall. WiFi went down often during our stay. The pool area was very nice, but service at the restaurant was very slow. Overall, not a bad stay.
