Sunday Palace Hotel Baku

I would not recommend this hotel especially if you book via booking.com. I arrived in Baku to find out that my booking was cancelled due to invalid Credit Card. I used the same card to pay for my hotels , taxi ride and food in last 3 days in 2 different countries without any issue.The card was authenticated when booking was made. I guess they overbooked and gave my room to someone else at higher price. Spoke to the receptionist and manager Murad. He wanted to help me to find another room rather than honouring my confirmed booking. They also tried to blame booking.com.Just be careful when considering this hotel.

THEY ARE A SCAMMERS ... I had a terrible experience. I booked a room for 2 night's at an agreed price from booking website, but when I arrived, they demanded more money. When I refused to pay extra, they claimed there was a "water leakage" in my room and said they had to move me to another hotel. I had no choice but to agree. When I went to check the second hotel, it was in terrible condition and felt unsafe and suspicious. I refused to stay there. Then they told me to pay more to move me to a third hotel, promising that I could get my original room the next day. It was clearly a scam to pressure me into paying more than the original booking price. Avoid this place at all costs!

I stayed this hotel 5 days in May 2025 and  if you want to have worst hotel experience than stay this terrible  hotel. They don't have any intentions to manage hotel for guests. The reason why I say this are - room bed is too small(185x85) I think it's for children. - door for closet isn't moving and  not fixed - no door for shower boots and all waters come out to bathroom. - no elevator for 4th floor building - taxi will not come to hotel because location is in old city (extra money for old city enterenc fee and road condition is very bed) - Breakfast also terrible, some of foods seems to reuse from the previous day. - no coffee machine and served instant coffee. - Utensils are not clearly cleaned(dirtys are in the between folks).k - they don't not made room everyday only asking base cleaning inthe morning.
