As a family traveling with young children, finding the right balance of affordability, location, and amenities is always a challenge. The Surf Reef Dive Beach Palace hit the mark perfectly. Location, Location, Location! This hotel boasts a truly prime location. Situated right on the beach, we had easy access to the soft sands and clear waters. The kids loved building sandcastles and splashing in the shallows, while my husband and I enjoyed relaxing under the shade of the palm trees. The hotel is also conveniently located close to other attractions in Trincomalee, making it a great base for exploring the area. Family-Friendly Atmosphere: From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions. The hotel has a relaxed and laid-back vibe, which was perfect for our family. While I wouldn't describe it as a dedicated "kids club" type of place, the staff's warmth and the beach itself provided endless entertainment for our children. Value for Money: We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price for our stay. Trincomalee can be an expensive destination, but the Surf Reef Dive Beach Palace offered excellent value for money. We felt like we got a lot for what we paid, especially considering the prime location and the quality of the service. Food, Glorious Food: The food at the hotel was a definite highlight. The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to both local and international tastes. We particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood, which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also a treat, with plenty of options to choose from. Exploring on Two Wheels: One of the added bonuses of staying at the Surf Reef Dive Beach Palace was the option to rent bikes directly from the hotel. This was a fantastic way to explore the surrounding area at our own pace. We cycled along the coast, discovering hidden beaches and local villages. Areas for Improvement: While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, there's always room for improvement. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, could perhaps benefit from a bit of a refresh. However, this was a minor issue and didn't detract significantly from our overall experience. Final Verdict: The Surf Reef Dive Beach Palace is a fantastic choice for families looking for a relaxed and affordable beach getaway in Trincomalee. With its prime location, friendly staff, delicious food, and convenient bike rentals, it offers everything you need for a memorable vacation. Good value for money! We stayed here 4 nights. Cheap basic rooms but slept like a baby, quiet neighbourhood. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach, 3 more to the first beach restaurant. The hotel has its own cheap restaurant with really nice food. The family is very kind and helpful.

Facilities are ok for the price. Be careful with the host in terms of money and different rooms etc! The location is good and the bar upstairs cozy.
