Surfing Temple Boutique Hotel

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming hotel in Siargao. Tucked just off the main strip, its central location offers easy access to everything while maintaining a peaceful, quiet atmosphere—(as long as you don’t mind the occasional sounds of neighbourhood karaoke nights) perfect for honeymooning couples or anyone looking to unwind and truly soak in the island vibe. What made our stay truly special was the incredible staff. Manager Brian and his team went above and beyond with their attention to detail and genuine care. Their warm hospitality was the heart of our experience and made us feel right at home. The room was cozy and thoughtfully designed, with little touches like complimentary snacks and Netflix that added extra comfort. We especially loved the outdoor shower—it felt like a private, serene retreat. The blend of Filipino and European cuisine was simply amazing—each dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Siargao and would return in a heartbeat. Can definitely say we miss our adopted family in Surfing Temple! And can’t wait to come back

My wife and I just went to the restaurant part of the place, but it was amazing! Great food, fair price, excellent service! The place has a great atmosphere and you can even use the pool during your staying in the bar/restaurant. Also, the desserts are delicious! Thank you Jovel (waiter) for the time talking and serving us!

We had an amazing time at Surfing Temple. The aesthetics of the hotel are really incredible, out of a magazine! Staff is very helpful, the atmosphere is very laidback and safe. The location is close to the main street with all the bars and restaurants, but also quiet enough to relax. All convenience (gas stations, shops, cell phone recharges) is nearby. The road (200m or so) to the hotel is somewhat bumpy, but with a scooter no problem to pass through. Fixing the road is a complicated matter with local authorities blocking progress, so completely understandable. This is work in progress. The hotel has an elaborate bar with nice cocktails, made by a professional bar tender. Beds were big and comfortable, rooms were spacious and very private. Shower was great and outside! Only thing I would say is that the wooden plank-floor next to the pool could do with renovation soon, as the planks start bulging. Last, but certainly not least, the Spanish owner Migue is a once in a lifetime person to meet. Very, very kind, funny, polite and hospitable. I had a great chat with him and a friend of his to give open feedback (to which they were very receptive) and talk about our common love for Valencia, Spain. It was very clear he manages this hotel with his heart and soul. Some feedback other hotel guests write in a certain manner, is very easy to judge, but a lot harder to fix given the circumstances. In conclusion, more than recommended, I will never forget our time there and hope to be able to come back at some point! Huge respect and love from Belgium!
