The room had a great vibe with the high ceilings and industrial look was nice. From the moment we checked in, we felt at home as Chloe was amazing with her service, care for detail, and willingness to go above and beyond. The welcome cocktail after the long drive was a nice touch. The cleaning staff did a great job with the rooms and all needs were addressed quickly by everyone at the hotel. Ashlyn, our rooftop bar server was amazing in as well as she took the time to recommend different activities and restaurants. This hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip.

We stayed at The Ansonborough in May 2025 and loved it! Initially there was a mix up on rooms, as I had requested the 1st floor Accessible Room for my older aunt and mother, but once the situation was explained, we were moved to the correct room. The staff were so sweet and helpful. The comfy bar and the rooftop bar were the perfect visit at the end of a long day sightseeing. The location was perfect!!! Close to everywhere without the crowds and noise of downtown. And right across the street from a market for goodies. I am definitely looking forward to my next stay at The Ansonborough!

This was our second night in Charleston and we decided to switch hotels for the second night to see how another hotel would be for us. While we were enjoying the town throughout the day at dinner we started researching the hotels that we want to stay at and upon reviewing a lot of the local hotels and pricing we decided to stay at Ansonborough Hotel. When we came in we got checked in by Luis who was very courteous and helpful and when we got to our room we were amazed at the size of the room, the 20ft ceilings, nearly 100sq ft bathroom and all the design and all looks newly remodeled. On top of that we even had a fireplace which was great. There is some kind of smell in the hallway which feels like incest would you give the hotel a specific Aura but you cannot feel it in the rooms. This hotel really is well-built and is one of the better hotels we stayed at anywhere we have been as far as design and accommodations go. It's also very close walking distance to all the pubs restaurants in City Market which makes it very convenient and yet tucked away for privacy. Yes there wasn't much of a breakfast offered but who needs breakfast when you want to go out there and visit the local restaurants. Plus the food grocery store is right across if you want to save on food. The roof deck certainly makes this hotel even more interesting I am sure the prices will be skyrocketing for the future stays is this hotel is probably one of the better ones in town aesthetically.
