The Bandha Hotel & Suites

We stayed here with our 2 sons aged 23 and 17. We had a deluxe suite with spa bath interconnecting with a deluxe twin room. The set up of this was great for us, heaps of room and of course two bathrooms. The deluxe suite is very large and the bathroom is wonderfully set out. There is a balcony off the bathroom and one off the lounge area. The rooms were very relaxing. The deluxe twin room also has a balcony. Heaps of storage in the room you could definitely stay here for a length of time and be very comfortable. The beds were super comfy too. We were on the 4th floor. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping serviced the rooms daily and replenished bathroom supplies. We had breakfast included in our stay which was a daily buffet. Great selection with egg station. There are 2 swimming pools both with swim up bars which was very nice. Excellent cocktails 2 for 1 all day. Our boys used the gym and they said it was good. The hotel is just across the road from the beach which was nice for a few drinks watching the sunset. Great location in Legian close to many restaurants, coffee shops, mini marts, massage/spa. On the last day we had a few hours from the time of check out to being collected to head to the airport. We put our bags into the hotels luggage holding area, then we lounged around the pool. We ate around the pool and the food was very nice. The staff are very helpful, friendly and obliging. We would happily return here for another stay.

If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would! I booked this gem of a hotel after reading other reviews, and I'm so glad that I did. We arrived from Lembongan at around 10am. They had our room ready by 12pm (2 hours prior to check-in) and gave us a free upgrade to the highest category suite!! So unexpected and absolutely amazing. The room was huge with a private pool and spa bath. It was unbelievable. To be honest, any room at this resort would be good. There are 2 separate pools, both with swim up bars (order the chicken burger lunch special - the best chicken burger I've ever had). The restaurant is awesome with the best buffet breakfast we've ever had - quality food!! Location is great with the beach just across the road and spas/restaurants/shopping within walking distance. The staff are all so friendly and helpful going over and above to help us. Do yourself a favour and book this hotel!!

Overall an enjoyable stay. My pool access room was lovely. I then moved to a Junior Suite to enable late check out for an evening flight back to Australia, which was also lovely and huge. I do feel the hotel needs some updating, as it is looking tired. There was some work being carried out near the pool to fix the wooden decking, which was very noisy. In my opinion, the entire decking near the main pool needs replacing. The pool was quite cold, not sure if that can be improved somehow. The room service menu was quite limited. I ordered a Surf & Turf which wasn't a true Surf & Turf in my opinion. Breakfast was fantastic. Large selection of breakfast food and all delicious. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, but a little too eager to have me move rooms on my departure day. I feel the hotel could definitely be upgraded given how much you are paying per night to stay.
