The Box House Hotel

The box has become my new go to hotel, it is worth the 20-40$ extra night compared to hotels across the bridge in LIC the rooms are tastefully designed and thought out, there is on site laundry, the staff is great and its quirky in a good way! Love the northern tip of greenpoint with excellent dining and shops abound. Decent parking too. Love the box!

Super great visit here, first time staying in Brooklyn and couldn’t have asked for a nicer attending staff. Breakfast was delicious, one of my favorite oatmeal bowls I’ve had. I also like the rooms, they were very clean the design was great! The only issue was their laundry machines here were old and the washer did not spin the clothes enough so we had to run them through the drier twice

This is usually a wonderful hotel. So are the sister hotels. They are comfortable in great areas. Unfortunately I had a recent experience with a woman named Kristina who may or may not have been the morning manager. I travel with a highly trained service animal and she doubted his authenticity. I can understand that because I do bat appear to be disabled or in need of service animal. I was happy to answer her suspicions and even gave her more information than they are allowed to ask for. Unfortunately she became hostile and aggressive towards me. Cursed under her breath and implied that I was a liar. She then canceled the second night of my stay and arrived at my door with security to remove me. I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had to deal with such unprofessional and hostile behavior. It’s a shame because everyone else has been typically extremely professional.
