The Comodo Bad Gastein a Member of Design Hotels

Wow, this is amazing!! A totally unique design hotel by Marriott. It has a Euro cool vibe, minimal but super cozy. I wanted to find reasons to lounge in the lobby because the esthetic was so inviting and comfortable. The staff couldn't be nicer. They helped us get to know the area during check-in and were happy to answer questions throughout our stay. We felt totally at home. The spa/sauna area is clean, calm and so relaxing. The views are spectacular. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy time surrounded by nature! One improvement would be a fridge in the room but not having one gave us an added excuse to enjoy the downstairs bar/lounge. We'll be visiting this place again!

Wonderful Hotel and Spa in an amazing little town of Bad Gastein. The service is great and the staff is super friendly. Saunas and Pool are clean and offer great views on the mountains. Small gym, but sufficient and quality equipment to do your exercises. Yoga classes are free! Breakfast is delicious (great coffee!!) a really great hotel if you’re a lover of design. I’m a fan!

Generally not our cup of tea. Design and service (at reception, the rest was good) leaves much to be desired. Not sure why it is such a hyped place right now. Rooms small, no coffee machine, no mini bar/fridge, no wardrobe. One lift for the whole building, including cleaning staff? Strange. And at reception I felt reminded of the good old 80s somewhere in Eastern Europe. Greeting guests is a completely alien concept for the ladies there. Restaurant and Bar staff was wonderful on the other hand. Prices fair, but will surely not repeat.
