The Cumberland Hotel by NEU Collective

Such a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable in Valletta, and the hotel is beautiful. The hotel service was also excellent. They even went out of the way to decorate our hotel room since we were there for our honeymoon! :) The hotel restaurant (where we ate for breakfast every day) was also great. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Immensely enjoyed our stay at this hotel for our week exploring Malta. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well maintained. The wifi was strong. The location was perfect. Saku & Ali at the front desk were fantastic- Saku was so friendly and went the extra mile to welcome us, check us in and help with anything we needed whenever he saw us during our stay. We had an a very early morning taxi pickup when we left, and the road was closed. Ali kept watching and checking to see if we had been picked up yet and called the driver and then helped us move to where we could be picked up. The restaurant food, staff and service were great also; the mushroom risotto especially was delish and breakfast was always tasty and quick, even when all the tables were full.

I can't fault the place for it's fantastic location, or it's brilliant staff all of whom were excellent. We booked a room called a "deluxe suite with terrace" It wasn't that it, was a -fairly small- double room with a terrace with no seating area except on the terrace. This was an initial disappointment. Other niggles were the small, badly lit bathroom and the conflicting information about checkout times.
