The Fanny Talbot

Well from the moment we checked in the staff were very friendly and professional. Room was very spacious and well equipped. Fridge and fan which we didn't expect and the tea tray didn't disappoint. We stayed for five nights and even though we were right above the front door noise was expected but not really an issue. You are pre-warned before booking: guests have their own entrance so don't have to go through bar if don't want to which was nice. You can choose your breakfast the night before from a tick list but don't have to: we found it very helpful. Going for breakfast in the morning was a look forward to moment because from the first morning to the last we were greeted with a smile and a laugh from the exceptional team of the chef and especially Brian(Daddy). Paul(Puppy). And banana. We had such a laugh and set us up for the day with a smile: Can't recommend this place to stay enough. We had a fantastic time there: will definitely be going again. Really enjoyed my visit to The Roal. The staff were friendly and gave a warm welcome as soon as we walked in, which made all the difference. The pint of Thatchers Gold was spot on — ice cold and properly poured. It’s a relaxed, inviting place, and I’d 100% go back again for drinks or food. Great atmosphere and service — definitely worth a visit.

I stayed at The Royal with my wife and two girls for two nights. We had a fantastic time. The room was amazingly clean and the hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I cannot find a fault at all. So much so that I have booked for us to stay there for a whole week next year. Looking forward to it!
