The Inn On The Tree Sigiriya

Highly recommend! The treehouses are basic but nice! You wake up in the morning and look out from your comfortable bed into the jungle treetop! I really enjoyed staying there! Of course you stay in the jungle so be careful with your belongings because monkeys will take it! But you have a nice drawer to store your important stuff. And this is not the owners fault, it’s nature! So if you have problems with a frog in your bathroom and monkeys in the tree next to you better not go to this place and stop complaining on social media!!!!!!

It’s a good hostel for solo travelers. They are accommodate couples too… very friendly people. Only basic thinks we can get there. It’s near by Sigiriya and pidurangala (5km distance ). Can possible to go through by cycle / Tultkuk. They are arranging transportation if you want.

I went here with 3 friends having booked (via Booking) one of the treehouses. When we arrived we discovered that the place has changed name in Jungle Beach Hostel, but they have not removed the old postings with this name on any site. We were accompanied to our tree house but 5 minutes later the host came back saying that we had to change rooms because he had to give the tree house to a group of 5 staying for 3 days. The justification for this was that, as a consequence of the name change, they lost the old reservations, which sounded like lies since they were waiting for us and, even if true, is ridicoulous. Of course we were not happy with this so we asked for at least a little discount. The host made an offer that was higher than the price on the reservation, we had to insist to get a real discount. After moving we discovered that the place had no running water, we asked for help and, after at least and hour, they told us that there was a broken pipe and we had to use the common bathroom. I can not recommend this place, which is a shame because the atmosphere was pretty unique.
