The Mosaic Hotel

We watched the World Cup final at The Mosaic Hotel and it was fabulous. The outdoor space is great for many events. Parking space is ample-which is rare in Addis. The service was on spot. I enjoy coming here for my morning coffee. Will continue to come as it’s a great gem of a space.

I have been hosting live public seminars and trainings of various formats, in the Mosaic Hotel, for about 10 months continuously three times a week. The hotel is located in the heart of Bole area and, more than anything, it is positioned in such a way that all the noises and sounds of the surrounding are filtered out by the front buildings before it reaches the hotel. It is a home-like peaceful place where you feel tranquility and calmness. When you walk into the facility, you will meet with a remarkably friendly receptionists and other workers who make you feel safe in the place. The hotel also has an open green space which refreshes you unlike the familiar urban congested spaces you find elsewhere. It has been an excellent experience for me to be served in the hotel. Located on a perfect spot, but the hotel is not up to a standard you would expect for its prise (ETB 4900). We first rented a standard room, as soon as we walked into the room you can tell it was a mess and dirty. We then went downstairs to ask for a refund but they had a policy of not refunding after payment. They offered us to look at other rooms they were all in the same shape ( thiny, dirty and it looks like a room you can rent for less than ETB 1000). At the end they offered us a deluxe room. The only thing different about the deluxe room is it is bigger, other than that it was dirty, bathroom leeks, all sockets were connected to the light if light turnoff the sockets don't work etc. We had no other choice but to stay the night since they refused to give us a refund. On top of everything there breakfast that was included was such a disappointment. They were suppose to have buffet but they did not and made us order from thier menu. The food tasted like it was burnt and not tasty at all. Couldnt eat so left it as is. My recommendation is for you to check out the rooms before payment. I can guarantee you will not pay ETB 4900 for it.
