I truly don’t know where to begin. During a holiday weekend I was expecting some sort of delay. Upon arrival I attempted to check in with a young lady named Summer. Summer explained to me that there was an issue with my room and without hesitation she explained that the hotel has taken care of the issue by UPGRADING our entire trip. I feel like this was the best customer service experiences I have had in awhile. Not only was my entire experience to Niagara Falls saved by this hotel and Summer, but I believe the alternative that the hotel provided may have given me a better experience than what I was anticipating! I arrived at my alternative location and just as summer said, everything was taken care of. I was able to check in swiftly and painless despite the confusion of others. The oaks hotel is not only a beautiful location to view the falls but their customer service and ability to compensate without being able to reach me. This is easily a 10/10 stars. I feel like I have had my booking canceled by hotels in the past but this is quite possibly my most notable compensation for a problem as a resolution!

The location is the best part of this hotel, at least that’s the best part if you have a courtyard room. I’m particular about cleanliness and upkeep when I stay at a motel or hotel and while the tower building seemed to be the most tended-to portion of the hotel, our inside-access courtyard room itself could have been worse. The main faults were a bug or two on the wall the first day and a mysterious gooey substance on the closet wall that I didn’t inquire about. The room location was a quick in-and-out from the parking lot and the appliances and amenities were all fairly new. The shower was powerful and hot so that was also nice. The view of the parking lot wasn’t particularly pretty but what can you expect from the “cheaper” rooms. When we checked-in it was communicated to us that we may be able to upgrade to a tower room for like $20 more but then they renegged and were expecting an influx of people in a few days so that was a little bit of a bummer. The pillows were a bit used up and one of the mattresses on one of the beds sloped a little so with two people in a bed, one felt like they were falling off- even with the mattress turned around. So perhaps the frame? Who knows. The mini-fridge was a bonus as well and ample drawer space for clothing and whatnot. The pool and hot tub were nice and while there was an area for coffee and drinks it wasn’t anything special at all. The staff was friendly enough. In conclusion if you can, spring for a tower room. If you can’t and need a place to stay in this area, a courtyard room really isn’t the absolute worst but it isn’t the absolute best either. Your room could be different so take this all with a grain of salt, but also don’t expect a sleazy motel 6 either.

Location wise, one of the best hotels for the scenic view. It is a value for money hotel. I've stayed here often but every year the service gets worse. Rooms and shower has terrible water pressure, poor amenities, and the hotel has increased parking fee. $50 dollars now... from complimentary to $20, $30, $40, now $50. Coupon vouchers used to be 1 per guest to 1 per night stay. No renovation, and the management is putting in no effort to improve guest quality experience. Next year, I am moving over to Sheraton or Marriott.
