The One Resort

This place is wonderful. I had a beach front bungalow with a stunning view. It is amazing to get up in the morning and look directly at the beach and ocean. The part of the beach where The One is located is also one of the best spots. The beach is clean and has fine sand. The bungalows itself are very nice and clean. Don't expect a 5* luxury room - they are kept simple but you've got all you need. The bed was comfy, large bathroom, air conditioning. And you have to keep in mind that this is an island that basically does not offer any infrastructure. Everything is shipped by small boats. The staff is very friendly and helpful. On the island it's the only place with a pool which is really cool also. In the evening they organize a BBQ right on the beach. It's delicious!!! I loved my stay there and would definitely love to come back. The only thing that was average was the breakfast, not bad at all but nothing special. All the rest was totally satisfying!

An interesting holiday. The room smelt a little damp but seeing as how it was rainy season we didn't put too much stock into that and left the doors open to air the place a bit - the rooms were neat and clean, quite spacious for the family room we had. When the resort started to fill up due to a national holiday the kitchen couldn't cope and people were getting upset - I asked the manager what was happening and he explained everything to me very nicely which I completely understood. after working out a way to avoid the wait times everything was much nicer (besides the rain but the resort had no part in that) (it needs to be said the wait times for the kitchen are directly related to covid and definitely not the norm.) We got stranded on the island when the ferry back was cancelled due to bad weather but the resort kindly offered a 20% discount to stay another night. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The managerial team were wonderful and welcoming.

What a beautiful hotel on a tranquil part of Koh Rong Samloem! We had a deluxe beach front bungalow (there are 5 total) that was spacious with a loft level for second double bed. The front entry is all glass with curtains that are semi-transparent. There is even a patio area in the front but we hardly used this. We spent a lot of time at the pool because my 8-year old daughter loved it so much! The breakfast is not included in the price but you can certainly order breakfast from a large selection in hotel restaurant. We ate breakfast, a few lunches and a dinner at the restaurant. Food was delicious! The biggest asset of the hotel is the incredibly polite, gracious Cambodian lady who engaged with guests and addressed any issues they have. She put customers first and made sure guests were happy and comfortable at the resort! I also booked the most incredible 1-hr massage for $16!! The reason I am not rating this a 5-star is to give management an opportunity for improvements: one air conditioner is not enough for the deluxe bungalows (takes long time to cool a very large room), too many stray dogs hanging around property, curtains are semi-transparent so people can kind of see in at night, semi-transparent curtains also mean no sleeping in since so much light comes jnto the room, holes in mosquito nets...I would definitely stay here again!!❤️
