The Peninsula Chittagong is one of the best upscale hotels in the city, offering a great blend of comfort, cleanliness, and service. The rooms are well-maintained and spacious with all modern amenities. The rooftop pool and gym add a nice touch to the overall experience. Staff are friendly and professional, always ready to help. The location is very convenient—close to shopping areas and restaurants. The breakfast buffet has a decent variety, but the taste could be improved slightly. Overall, a great place for both business and leisure stays.
We ordered drinks, Papaya(Orange), Mint(Green) and Hazelnut (White) one. The Papaya one was refreshing and natural but the rest wasn't that good compared to the price we paid. Even the papaya one was average but as it's Peninsula let's just consider. The hazelnut one just felt like melted ice cream and no real taste of Hazelnut, the mint one was also tasting off and I wouldn't pay that much ever again. It costs 350-450 per drink. Not recommended for drinks. But I gave 3 stars for the interior and rooftop view.
My recent visit to this restaurant—specifically their poolside area—was one of the most disappointing and insulting experiences I’ve had in any hospitality setting. The staff’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional, discriminatory, and completely lacking in respect. It's evident they judge and serve customers based on appearance, and if you don't look wealthy or high-status, you're simply not treated properly. I visited around 9:00 p.m. with a few friends. From the moment we entered, we were made to feel unwelcome. A staff member rudely informed us that photography and videos were not allowed—there were no visible signs or prior notice, and the way it was communicated was aggressive and disrespectful. There was no courtesy, just a tone that made it seem like we were doing something wrong just by being there. When I attempted to place an order, I was told that single drinks would not be served. This “policy” was never explained, and it made no sense. Meanwhile, other customers—who clearly appeared more affluent—were being served without issue. This kind of selective service is not only unfair but downright humiliating. The behavior of the staff throughout was completely unacceptable. Their tone, body language, and dismissive attitudes made us feel insulted and degraded. We were treated with arrogance and condescension, as if we were an inconvenience. It honestly felt like we were being looked down on, not welcomed as paying customers. What’s even more ironic is that this restaurant is nowhere near the standard of places like Radisson Blu—not in quality, not in service, not in professionalism—yet the staff act with the kind of inflated attitude and arrogance that’s completely unjustified. For a place that can’t match even the basics of a true premium hospitality brand, their treatment of guests is downright disgraceful. I felt deeply disrespected and insulted by the way we were treated. The behavior of the staff was not just rude, it was offensive, and it reflects very poorly on the management and training behind this establishment. I will absolutely not return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with basic dignity and respect.
