The Residences at Karen

We loved every minute of our stay at The Residences. The studio was spacious, comfortable, clean and surrounded by bird life. We had half board and the meals were excellent. Dinner was a choice of entree, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. We particularly enjoyed the fish dishes. All the staff were welcoming and professional. We made use of the gym, pool and sauna, and had lots of fun on the putting green. The Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens are opposite. Prices at the Karen Golf Club were more than reasonable compared to restaurants in the near vicinity. We will definitely be going back to this hidden gem.

We had a really good time there. Rooms are quite big and beds are very confortable. The shower is nice with proper hot water. Main downside is that the fridge didnt work very well. TV has a lot of movie channel available. The location is good as it's very peaceful and green, even tough you are still in the city. Its very quiet at night and you can hear the birds but also a little bit traffic in the morning. It was easy getting back and forth from there and it's about 40 min from the airport (they have a shuttle service but its over priced). Breakfast was very good. Staff was really nice and always ready to help (they even found a way for us to heat up our leftover from a restaurant). We didn't make use of the swimming pool but just so that you are aware, it's part of the country club so occupancy doesn't depend on how many people are at the residency. Also its not really a leasure pool but more of a sport pool. Spa facilities are very good and the massages are really nice and okay priced.

Residence at Karen is easily accessible since its right on the Karen Rd. Not hard to navigate around using Google maps. The staff there are so warm and welcoming, they make sure to cater for the guest needs. It's a wonderful place to stay in. Hoping to go there again.
