The Riviera Hotel

From the moment we arrived the hotel staff were amazing. Nothing was to much trouble. It's the small things that mean a lot. The Breakfast maître Great and genuine good each morning made are days start right. The head Chef taking time and care to get every small order of eggs making perfect each time, outstanding selection of foods from around the world. Just when we thought nothing can beat this, we finish breakfast to find free coffee and tea with biscuits being serviced in the lounge area, small things mean a lot. Our room was a business executive, but it had the size and comfort of a suite. House keeping was just brilliant. Making sure we had coffee and that the room was Aways immaculate and always a pleasure to return to. The hotel has undergone a mayor refurbishment the style is more traditional then Modern. This gives it class. Class. Fresh and clean and more than just functional comfortable welcoming. I want to finish now this last point demonstrates their commitment to their guests. We had to leave at 5am. The front desk provided us with great packed breakfast boxes. The small things mean a lot.

We stayed at the Riviera for one night at the end of our cruise. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we took advantage of the free shuttle bus to the central station where the hop on/off bus starts. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and complimentary tea/coffee/toiletries. There was even a yoga mat. The hotel was very clean and well looked after, it had a gym and roof garden which we didn’t have time to use. The breakfast catered for all tastes and we had a meal in the cafe which was good value. I would recommend this hotel .

If you’re not staying at The Riviera Hotel, you’re missing out. We absolutely loved our stay at the Riviera during our time in Taipei. We booked the Deluxe King Room and were genuinely impressed by how spacious and comfortable it was—it included a cozy sitting area, a large bathroom with both a soaking tub and shower, extra closet space, multiple TVs, and a very comfortable king-sized bed. For the level of comfort and amenities, the price was extremely reasonable (in USD). The location is also excellent—close to many of Taipei’s top attractions. We hired a car for one day (without a guide) and were able to cover a lot of ground with ease. The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight. We enjoyed a spectacular five-course prix fixe dinner for around $170 USD for two. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. You might find a more modern hotel, but you won’t find one that’s more comfortable, cleaner, or better located than The Riviera Hotel. We highly recommend it.
