I was here with my family for a week's long holiday at the beginning of July. The resort is great, with several pools, a very nice beach, and the common areas look like a garden. My room was spacious with a nice view and close to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the infinity pool was a very good solution during the hot weather. The beach is also very nice, with plenty of sunbeds. The resort was full, but it was not felt at all in the common areas, on the beach, or in the restaurants. Perhaps only the pools saw more people. We visited several restaurants, all of them were great with the exception of the buffet at Morias which was not worth it. Restaurant prices were reasonable for what was on offer. We also visited a few bars, they have live music (very good lineup) on some of the days. I want to specifically mention the excellent service at every level in the resort. From the people at the reception, through housekeeping, the waiters at the restaurants to the people from the beach bar.
The rooms are very high-end, spacious and well-appointed. If you can get an off-season deal for $400/night, you are getting a great deal. All of the staff are wonderful and take excellent care of the guests. The food is very good and the breakfast buffet is particularly great. Despite this, I am deducting one star due to three serious issues: 1. The wonderful swimming pools, which are a centerpiece of the entire complex, are only open for 7 hours per day. The lack of morning and evening hours shows inexplicable disregard for the preferences of the guests. 2. The food and drinks are incredibly overpriced. I understand adding a little markup at a resort, but dinner inside costs literally 5x what it does outside. 3. There was a private party taking place on the lawn next to the swimming pools, blasting music until 11pm which was loud and disruptive inside our room as well as at all of the open air restaurants. Finally, a mention of shame for an additional 15 EUR / night "climate tax", which was not disclosed until checkout time.
Room had a very heavy dog smell upon check-in. They happily and swiftly changed room for us. We were super unpleasantly surprised at the adults only pool to be served raw/ uncooked chicken wraps to my pregnant wife. BIG red flag. Whoever prepared this should not work in any kitchen. We also suggest they look into the coffee quality. We couldn't enjoy the beach because of the rough waves and deep. Also not enough sunbeds for all guests. Beach sunbeds very poor cheap quality (2/10) for this level of resort. Adult pool sunbed quality were perfect 10/10. Golf was great. Awesome instructor. All staff everywhere are super kind & friendly.
