A Truly Outstanding Stay at The Row Residential Hotel My recent stay at The Row Residential Hotel in Addis Ababa was nothing short of excellent, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived until the time we departed, the experience was defined by comfort, professionalism, and outstanding hospitality. The entire staff demonstrated a remarkable level of professionalism and attention to detail. Every interaction, whether at the front desk or with the housekeeping team, was handled with genuine warmth and efficiency. It’s clear that the hotel management places a high value on service, and it shows in every aspect of their operation. A special and well-deserved thank you goes to Ms. Tigist, the hotel manager. Her dedication to ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable was evident throughout our visit. Her proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant positive impact on our experience. She is a true asset to the hotel, and her leadership is commendable. The rooms themselves were fantastic, with a particular highlight being the incredibly comfortable bed. After a long day of exploring, it was a delight to return to a restful and cozy environment. The quality of the accommodations is top-notch. Finally, the hotel's location is absolutely wonderful. Its central and convenient position made it easy for us to get around and experience the best of Addis Ababa. It’s truly an awesome location that adds immense value to the stay. The Row Residential Hotel exceeded all expectations, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
I stayed at The Row Residential in Addis Ababa for two weeks in May, and I can honestly say—it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. As someone from the diaspora, this place felt like the perfect bridge between luxury and home. It’s comfortable, stylish, and radiates class without trying too hard. Located right in the heart of Bole, it’s a dream for anyone who wants convenience. I didn’t even need to rent a car—the best cafes, lounges, shops, and even Addis’ top nightclubs were just a 3 min ride away. It’s the ideal spot if you want to experience the city without the stress of traffic or long drives. The room was spotless, the Wi-Fi was reliable, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower? Perfect. The staff truly made it feel like home—from the front desk to housekeeping. I especially appreciated the bellmen and security who greeted me with a warm smile every single time I entered or exited. That level of consistency and care is rare. I also felt very safe throughout my stay. The security presence was discreet but reassuring, which made a big difference as I came and went at various hours. To be honest, this is the first hotel I’ve ever felt sad leaving. After two peaceful, well-serviced weeks, it truly felt like home. I’m already planning to return next month—and I genuinely can’t wait to book it again. If you’re visiting Addis—especially as part of the diaspora—The Row Residential should be at the top of your list. You won’t regret it.
My experience was absolutely disappointing in this Hotel. I booked a room with a large bed through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the hotel staff refused to honor my booking. Instead, they forced me and my friend to move into a twin-bed room, even though we specifically requested and booked a large bed. To make matters worse, when I requested an early check-in, the staff allowed it without mentioning any additional charges. However, at the time of payment, they suddenly informed me that I had to pay 50% extra for early check-in and 30% more for the twin-bed room—a room I didn’t even want! Switching from a large bed to two small beds should not result in an extra charge. It’s common sense that twin bed room and large bed room have the same price. Adding insult to injury, they were unable to process my payment in dollars, as initially agreed, and I ended up paying the equivalent of 150€, which is absurd given the poor service and lack of transparency. More disappointed are that they give us brocken towels….. just see the pictures…. This hotel does not respect its guests, fails to honor bookings made through trusted platforms like Booking.com, and lacks basic professionalism. I would strongly advise against staying here if you value clear communication, fair treatment, or even basic customer service.
