The Serai Chikmagalur

I had a wonderful stay at this resort, but what truly stood out for me was the exceptional food. Every meal was a delight, but the bakery items completely stole the show. The pastry chef here is incredibly talented — each creation was fresh, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. From flaky croissants to decadent desserts, everything was crafted with such finesse. It’s rare to find resort food that feels this personal and high-quality, especially in the bakery section. If you’re someone who appreciates good food (and amazing pastries!), this place will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this resort for 2 days. Located in middle of coffee plantation, the views are very serene. Service is good and rooms are very hygienic. The private pool is the highlight which is well maintained. The buffet breakfast is good and tasty. The a la carte menu is disappointing as its expensive and of small portions. The options for veg is limited. At the price they are charging it would be worth to have complimentary lunch and dinner or a reasonable price buffet. For this reason, its not a resort we can often visit and stay.

The staff is amazing! Food is below average. Tried one cocktail, and it was horrible. Rooms should have some ventilation, mattress was horrible and got severe body pain. TV is placed in the corner, small screen, placed so far, could hardly read display. Need to sit on the bed which is so uncomfortable to watch TV. The chairs placed in the villa is also not great. They need to revive the villa facilities. I wouldn't come back here again.water wasn't that hot in the washroom.
