The Stag

This is a hidden gem. Didn't stay here but stumbled across it for somewhere to eat. The food was amazing. Had the steak baguette & it was honestly the best ever. This pub should be heaving but I think the roadworks that are in place aren't helping. If you visit IoW you should go here. Use Google maps to navigate your way around the roadworks cos it'll be worth it

On a very hot day, we were pleased to find this pub, about 1.5 miles from the cycle path. Found a breezy table outside and ordered some food. The sandwich came with salad and potato skins. More than I imagined. Probably would not pick this pub to visit again, but it was more than adequate, and very welcoming. Close to bus stop too!

Just had Sunday roast !! After a forty minute wait (lady did say there was a delay) dinners arrived we had a large roast through the price is wight .. very poor two small pieces of roast potato very small amount of cabbage small amount of carrot red cabbage beef and Yorkshire pudding . Dinner was only just warm …. how disappointing as took from grandson and girlfriend as a treat! I’ve just phoned and said to them how disappointed we all were .. I didn’t want to write a bad review but all I got was sorry!! Very disappointed!!
