The Vault Athens

This is a hidden gem of a hotel amazing service and we really enjoyed it. We felt very comfortable with large rooms and very kind employees I would definitely recommend it is a lovely place and it is really cost efficient an cost worthy. Also, they always had the rooms perfectly tidy when we got back and I would most surely stay again. Really exquisite. Majestic views.

There is no way this is a 4 star hotel! The location is great, but the quality of the hotel is sub-par. There was mold in the shower which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time! There was something exploded on the wall, by my bed. I went to put something in the fridge and it was warm. The towels were worn out. The lady at the desk was nice, but she leaves at 9pm, so if you needed something after 9pm, I don't know what you would do. I forgot my toothbrush, but didn't even bother asking. It wasn't "that" kind of hotel. I read that others complained about the noise and it was a little noisy, but we were there Easter Weekend, so there wasn't a lot going on in town. I felt safe, but I would not go back.

Well, it was the first time I was in Athens, and I didn't really know what to expect from accommodation in this city. I chose The Vault Athens because it was close to the center and had a convenient connection to public transport. I've stayed in many four- and five-star hotels, but I've never seen anything like it before. It's not a hotel; it's more of a bed-and-breakfast. And it doesn't deserve four stars... In my opinion, rather two. Details: the room is large and flawless - a large sofa is a plus. The bathroom is also large - a plus. Breakfast is chosen from a piece of paper - in the morning the maid brings it on a tray - there is no breakfast in the restaurant. There is noise outside. There is a nightclub opposite, and the party lasts until late at night, even in the middle of the week. I can't even imagine what must be happening there in the summer season. In general lot of defects - broken bedside lamps and fixings in the bathroom, the coffee service barely fits on the shelf, chaos in breakfast service - I don't recommend this place at all.
