The Villas at Simpson Bay Resort

The Villas at Simpson Bay Beach Resort and Marina has been our family get away for years now the staff and management always do their best to keep everyone happy.We have traveled to many other places but none compare to The Villas at Simpson Bay Beach Resort and Marina and Saint Martin go see for yourselves !!!

Great location and walking distance from nightlife and food. The views from the balcony are gorgeous and the beach was beautiful. However, the beds are so hard i didn't realñy sleep well and the bathroom and room in general is outdated. Service was okay but it felt real touristy and the guidance from concierge didn't really help us experience all the island has to offer. The food and the drinks at the hotel were just okay. I don't think i got the value for the price it could have been much better for villa living.

They are running a bait and switch scam with the rooms here! We purchased an Ocean Front Jr Suite with a balcony and got an average room , not a suite , on the ground level with a tiny patio , not a balcony as advertised. This first room was the last room on the end with lots of outside traffic and no privacy. When we went back to the front desk to try to fix this we were told this was a time share hotel and they could not change our rooms , that was a different company. We booked this room directly with The Villas on line and any confirmations were from The Villas, not a time share company. We were told there were no other rooms available, this place probably has several hundred rooms. I even agreed to pay more , whatever it takes not to have a ground level room . We tried for about a half hour as they called the time share rental company to make a change. We eventually got another ground level room closer to the restaurants , just a little better than the first room, still not a suite. The new room also did not have any privacy. The Front desk staff and manager didn't care and set a very disappointing tone for our 8 night stay. We even heard from another couple while we were there that they had the exact same bait and switch experience but complained more than we did and got a better room. Overall the food was just ok and nothing special. The faculties are well maintained and housekeeping did a very good job. They have some very nice staff , just NOT the front desk. Look for another resort , there are many on the island.
