A Remarkable Transformation – Big Bravo to the Team and GM Paul! I’ve been a frequent guest at Wisten City Center for the past 10 years, and during my last visits, I had shared several concerns — from the entrance experience and check-in to room cleanliness and how returning guests were treated. This time, I’m genuinely impressed by the transformation. From the moment I arrived, everything was different — the welcome was warm, check-in smooth, and the room absolutely spotless and well-prepared. I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of healthy snacks, fruits, and thoughtful items waiting for me in the room — a very personal and appreciated gesture. I’ve also seen a real shift in staff attitude and service quality, not just toward me, but toward all guests. The attention to detail, the smiles, and the willingness to help are much more visible now. Even the lobby has been adjusted to better accommodate families with children — small things, but they show care. One of the most impressive changes has been the enhanced breakfast buffet — more variety, better options, and clearly a focus on quality. All of this progress clearly reflects the leadership of Paul, the new GM. He’s done a fantastic job in a short time, shifting the culture toward a truly customer-centric experience. Bravo to him and to the entire team! I’m still staying for another 5 days — and I’m confident the rest of my stay will be just as great.
Spent the New Year holidays at the Westin Bahrain and loved it! It's super convenient, being directly connected to the City Centre Mall and Time Out Market, so there's always something to do. I even got upgraded to a suite with its own steam room – seriously fancy! Despite it being the holidays, breakfast at Furn wasn't crowded at all and the spread was amazing, way better than what I've had at Le Meridien. The only bummer was having to wait until 4 pm for the room, but other than that, it was a fantastic stay!
As a Marriott Bonvoy member I have been to several hotels expecting a certain level of service, cleaning and maintenance of the rooms and simply being professional and respectful. Which is why I booked in this hotel plus its convenient location. However, the experience was not at all what I have expected , it was in fact very disappointing! From the beginning we informed the receptionist that we would like to park our own car and to please let the security staff to open the parking garage but when we got there the employee had no idea what we were talking about and was rude and uncooperative! Then after waiting for him to call the receptionist and for them to get back to him they finally allowed us to park in the hotel we paid for! Second strike, was checking-in after waiting at least an hour and a half only to find the room below average! And the bedsheets and covers not even clean! As you can clearly see from the pictures this was actually how we received the room!! Usually after a bad situation with any of the hotel services or staff, they compensate you but in our case we got rewarded by a dirty room :) Again super disappointed and definitely first and last time here in this hotel!
