This hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly hotel in surabaya. It’s a simple, no-frills place but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms very clean and well-maintained. What really stood out was the staff — they were genuinely warm and much friendlier than the staff at a luxury hotel I stayed at in surabaya. For the price, it’s an excellent value. Highly recommend if you’re looking for reliable, affordable accommodation with great service.

Very spacious room even though it’s rather outdated, but it’s comfortable and convenient for tourists, especially for my elderly parents. Strategic location, just next to a good, big mall, Tunjungan Plaza. Excellent service especially Ms Lauren who helped to send my belongings to my next holiday destination, when I accidentally left them behind in the hotel room. Truly appreciate her great effort!! Highly Recommended for Top Employee for the year 😃 Overall it’s a good stay at a good price 👍🏼

Title: Shocking Experience at Hotel Tunjungan - Never Again! My friend and I recently stayed at Hotel Tunjungan, and I feel compelled to share our terrible experience to warn other travelers. This was by far the worst hotel stay we've ever endured. Room Problems: We were forced to change rooms three times during our stay, with no proper explanation or apology from staff. Each move wasted hours of our vacation time as we had to pack, wait, and unpack repeatedly. The staff treated this as completely normal, showing zero concern for our inconvenience. Terrible Staff Behavior: The night manager on May 3rd was unbelievably rude. When we tried to explain our problems, he kept dismissively saying "No no" without listening. Even worse, when we mentioned writing a review about the poor conditions, he sneered "Do whatever you want" - showing complete contempt for guests. He refused to give us any supervisor contact information when we asked to escalate our complaints. Restaurant Issues: The restaurant staff constantly pestered us to eat there since they had no customers. One evening, they actually invited us to sing, promising we could perform until 11pm. But once we were there, they kept changing the rules - first demanding payment, then suddenly saying we couldn't sing at all. They wasted our entire evening arguing until 10:45pm before kicking us out! Poor Facilities: - The hotel felt empty with most amenities closed - Our key cards failed constantly - we had to get them reset every single time we returned - Dirty carpets that smelled musty - Rooms were outdated and poorly maintained - The whole place had a neglected atmosphere Complete Lack of Care: Instead of enjoying our trip, we wasted hours every day dealing with unhelpful staff. The manager showed no interest in solving problems or taking responsibility. Final Warning: Do NOT stay here! The combination of terrible service, broken facilities, and rude staff made this the worst hotel experience imaginable. We will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs. Rating: 1/10 (only because zero isn't possible)
