We stayed at the Asia Grand Hotel during our visit in May, 2025. The tour company selected the hotel for us. We had six rooms in the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the best during our travel to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The front desk people have never been trained to understand the true meaning of hospitality to the European and North America standard. Not even once we heard I am sorry or apologize. Shortly after we checked in, one of the hotel staff walked into two rooms without knocking on the door. When we complained to the front desk, the response was yes, we know. While I was sleeping in the room with a double bed, I heard a huge sound. I got up and looked around and found out the next morning the picture over the other bed dropped. I was lucky to sleep on the other bed otherwise it would have caused a head injury. When I showed it to the front desk there was no response of apology but rather have someone fix it. We extended our stay by one night and they asked me to change my room and the reason wasn’t explained. That night I never had a good sleep because of worrying about the picture over the bed dropping. We never heard they are sorry or apologize for anything. Their attitude was they are doing their customers a favor by let them stay at the hotel.

Central location close to various amenities. Great breakfast buffet. Very helpful staff. Wifi had issues off and on.
