My own experience was tainted by the fact that the weather wasn’t as warm as we had hoped. However, whilst there are some issues with keeping on top of general maintenance, the overall experience was not unpleasant. Ali who cleaned our room each day was superb and extremely helpful as was one of the trainee chefs. The rooms are spacious although the toiletries are limited to a soap dispenser and body lotion - no shampoo or conditioner or shower wash. The outside areas are well maintained and clean. The food in the main restaurant was fine although the beach restaurant served up a burnt omelette with no apology. On the whole a very pleasant stay and a big thank you to those staff who made the visit a pleasant memory

My recent stay at Ulysse Djerba was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation turned into a nightmare due to abysmal treatment and, most horrifyingly, a waiter from the hotel assaulting my mother. It is absolutely incomprehensible and intolerable for an establishment to allow such a level of service, and even worse, for its staff to act with such violence. The safety and respect of guests should be the number one priority, and at this hotel, these fundamental principles were not only disregarded but violated in the most heinous way imaginable. Beyond the unacceptable incident with the waiter, the overall treatment we received was deplorable. There was not the slightest hint of professionalism, empathy, or willingness to help. We felt helpless and completely ignored by staff who seemed utterly unconcerned with the comfort or well-being of their guests. I sincerely hope this review serves as a stark warning to anyone considering staying at this place. The health and safety of your loved ones are at stake. This hotel is a disgrace and doesn't deserve a single star.
