Can't fault the hotel and the staff. Everyone made us feel very welcome and were very friendly. We would definitely go back. The pool is good and the swim up bar is fun. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Air-conditioning works very well and it is a good system with the remote controls.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review – A Wonderful Stay at Umaya in Belize We had an amazing stay at Umaya! Our room was a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath unit that had recently been renovated—everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. Each bedroom had its own air conditioning, and the full kitchen made it easy to settle in and feel right at home. The on-site restaurant, The Residences, served excellent food—definitely worth the wait. The staff throughout the property were kind, helpful, and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel also owns the property across the street, where the pool and oceanfront are located. It was the perfect place to relax, swim, and enjoy the view. The pizza place by the beach was absolutely delicious—although it wasn’t open one night, we’re still thinking about that pizza! Umaya is located about 2.5 hours from the airport and roughly 35 minutes from Placencia Village, so it’s far enough to feel peaceful and secluded, but still accessible to everything you need. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay—beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. We would absolutely recommend Umaya to anyone visiting Belize!

Fabulous hotel, as a family of 4 we were delighted with our spacious room, overlooking the lagoon which was beautiful. The large pool and beach were just the other side of the road and the ground is we're lovely. The restaurant was also very good, maybe the best meal we ate, however it is a little pricey. We had a fabulous stay here.
