Valamar Padova Hotel

The location is outstanding. Before reserving, be aware that this is a family hotel, therefore there are a lot of children around. For me, this is not a problem, but I know there are customers looking for quiet and silence: definitely, this is not their place. The rooms are modern and clean; the view from the balcony on the city of Rab, either in daylight or at night, is breathtaking. The food is copious, however the way it is prepared is influenced by the fact that it is a self-service and has to accommodate the tastes of many customers, so do not expect excellence here. The visit to the city of Rab is worth every step. To get there from the hotel, you can walk 1,1 km or you can board a water taxi (non stop service) that for 2 Euros per person takes you downtown in a couple of minutes. Prices are high and on the rise, but this is a well debated problem involving all places in Croatia.

Valamar Hotel with convenient location, great all around package. Things that should be improved is delayed service in restaurants & bars. We have stayed in Valamar Bellevue and expected same level of service, so this is something this hotel should be improving considering the pricepoint.

When we arrived it turned out that the price does not include the beach beds, we complained at the reception that this was not clear from the reservation confirmation. The receptionist claimed it was visible on the homepage, but he could not show where. We had a discussion then he said “this is a hotel not a playground” I think this is respectless treatment of guests is totally unacceptable. Otherwise the whole area is a playground 🤪. Furthermore this non included service is not shown anywhere despite that the receptionist claimed it is, the hotel is advertised with sandy beach.
