Varbergs Kusthotell

I stayed many times at Kust hotel,and this Time, I must say that my experience was made truly remarkable thanks to Alex at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, Alex greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, instantly making me feel at home. People like Alex make those visits very pleasant. Thank you,

Go to Ästad instead. We have been to Ästad several times and it has a spotless history in serving a special experience with nice rooms, a great spa, amazing food and perfect service. When we heard that the kusthotell was taken over by the same owner we were looking forward to our booking of the combined 2 day spa package. I won't lie, it was special, but not the way we expected. The big problem is the restaurant, where breakfast and dinner is "served". It took us 20 minutes to get seated which was ridiculously long with just one couple in front of us. It got actually quite entertaining once we were seated to observe the waiter, which somehow disappeared for 5 minutes each time he seated a group. After that, it was generally a long wait to get the food, soggy bread as a pre-starter, over boiled fish and non-whatsover explanation of what we are being served by the waiter. Though admittedly, with that food, I can understand that they want to spend as little time at the table as possible. There were some other smaller things but considering the price tag of the experience, not what we expected. At the breakfast, they also struggled and forgot our order. The spa is small, and crowds easily, but being extended, so I will not comment on that. Long story short, I would not go there again, before they send the staff from Ästad for some serious training to the kusthotell...

I was attacked by an angry guest on my birthday, a day for which I payed quite a lot for, staff tried to hold me back while I wasn’t doing anything wrong but just bc I was the calm one & easier to handle, in fact I was inches away to get a panic attack, heartbreaking experience, awful way to handle the situation, I talked about it to the receptionist; she didn’t seem to care as she asked; what do you want me to do? I mean idk isn’t that her job find out? I’m not one to write angry reviews, but no one needs to go through what I did. With her being Swedish & old & me non-swedish & young, the whole situation felt pretty racist as well
