Veluwe Hotel De Beyaerd

We had wonderful time here with friends for a cycling weekend. The area is stunning and Harderwijk near by such a lovely place. We were blown away by the breakfast. 🤩 Such a variety of nice and good food! The hotel area looks a bit like a lodge in Afrika. 😍 lots of green, birds and outside places to hang out. We were so happy about this surprising place.

Very clean and nice room. I can't give a full rating, as the water didn't drain properly and the toilet bubbled a lot. It's very loud by the front door, can hear everything from the hallway. The service at the reception was good. The service and dinner at the restaurant were average, because we sat for 40 minutes to be able to pay after we had finished our food. The restaurant wasn't full. Otherwise, a nice stay for a day.

Great location. The hotel consists of several buildings which can be reached by covered walking paths. Entry in the hotel is nice. Rooms are not clean, see picture. No airco and no window. Only the outside door could be opened and we were on the ground floor. Shower, however, is great. Basin is very small, looks nice, but impractical. We ate in the restaurant, because of bad weather, although there is no warm atmosphere. It is more of a canteen vibe. Bad price/quality ratio. Food is okay-ish, but expensive and small quantity. Breakfast is also not up to standard, compared to the price. The personnel is really nice and trying their best. My guess is, there is a lack of good management. All in all, we were glad we stayed only one night.
