Villa 3br Bella Vista Villa located within Cypress Lakes Resort

Right from the beginning my experience with Cypress Lakes was impressive. Hannah took my booking over the phone and explained everything to me and even sorted out the golf. Due to the recent flooding in the Hunter I had to change the dates. I phoned and there was Hannah always ready and willing to re-book for the following week when all should be dry. Nothing was too much for her, her positive attitude, politeness and professional behaviour, all made me feel Special. Arriving at the resort and checking in was excellent. The staff were friendly and our two story villa was fantastic. Two big bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, lounge with TV and three bathrooms. Both floors had balconies/patios with a lovely outlook of trees and the sound of birds. Breakfast was lovely and the quality of the food was very good. We loved the English breakfast, cereals, fruit and many other foodstuffs which we couldn't fit in! The golf was great and the course was wet but pretty. Angus, from the Pro shop, was patient with us and informed us where we should go and to just enjoy the game. Check out was a breeze but no Hannah unfortunately but all the staff are very good. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa for a recent conference. The layout was great, with ensuite bathrooms for each room. Ours had a strong fresh paint smell, which wasn’t ideal, but it was clean and comfortable. Service throughout was exceptional, the restaurants and buffet breakfast were excellent. The real standout is the spa, a stunning hilltop retreat with a magical sunrise view.

It’s been a few years since we stayed at Cypress Lakes. I remember it being “wow” at the time but now, I feel the villas are quite outdated and in need of an upgrade, including furniture and amenities. Apart from that, good location and quite central in Pokolbin. Decent breakfast offerings - the kitchen staff work hard turning over fresh items during peak times! Staff are lovely and professional. I like the fact that guests have access to a complementary shuttle service from reception area to their villa (and vice versa).
