Great hotel!! we were there in Feb this year (2025). It had just opened about a month ago so things were not completely settled. We got an ocean front room with amazing view. The beach was my favorite. Beautiful view of the ocean and mountains together. Because is located on a little cove, you are able to swim, sail and do water sports in peace with free of charge toys. My favorite part is that this resort doesn't have any CATS, yes stray CATS. They are all over the Caribbean, is a huge concern for me because of my phobia. I hope they keep it this way. The food and service was awesome. Very friendly staff. Makes me sad of the other reviews I saw. I speak Spanish and I know that makes a difference but my husband doesn't speak Spanish and he also thought it was great.

Great experience at Vivas Miches. The food was good. The beach was excellent. The service was mostly good. There were a couple of instances where some of the staff would not smile or be very helpful, but honestly that was mostly the exception and not the norm. The room I was in, needed better sound insulation. My room shared a door with the adjacent room and their sounds and conversations could be heard in my room. Overall, in all honesty the price to reward ratio at this hotel is great. I would definitely come back. Hopefully they will address those two issues and their stock will rise significantly in my eyes.

I’ve never had my excitement drop so quickly when arriving at a resort. Check-in was a mess. The front desk staff struggled because of the language barrier, but even so, their service was not what you’d expect from a “5-star resort.” We were a group of nine with four rooms. Since my sister and I share the same last name, they mixed up our reservations and handed me her paperwork instead of mine—even though they had our passports and could have checked first names. When we finally got to our room, the AC didn’t work. After hours of waiting, it was still hot. My sister was told the building was having ongoing AC issues but it would “hopefully” be fixed soon. We asked for a fan, were told it would arrive in 30 minutes, but after 2 hours nothing came. When we went downstairs, we found several other guests complaining about the same thing. Eventually, after arguing, we got a fan, but the AC wasn’t fixed until the next day. The rooms themselves are fine, but the showers are poorly designed. The glass stall isn’t enclosed, so water leaks all over the floor. The buffet was average. Food variety was okay, but the service was inconsistent. Sometimes our water glasses weren’t refilled, or the glassware itself was dirty. The beach had invisible sand flies that bite like mosquitoes, which was uncomfortable. Service was also disappointing if you didn’t speak Spanish. We were often ignored, and at one restaurant the chef stopped engaging with us once he realized we only spoke English. Instead, he made odd jokes—like meowing at us and saying the meat was cat or donkey. Overall, this place is far from a 5-star resort. By the first day, I already wanted to leave. Save yourself the trouble and choose somewhere else. Reply to the response from Customer Care: if you really want to make a difference, please reply to our email from last week. We have been waiting for your reply in regards to promising a refund.
