W Fort Lauderdale

Went for a girls weekend to relax and escape. Sergio from Bucher Bros at the beach was absolutely amazing. We had chairs and umbrellas set up and water all day. Fabian at the lobby bar is incredible. Went back from other bars nearby to enjoy his service and cocktails. Highly recommend his gin cocktail Fab75. Pool vibe was wonderful had full service, nice heated pool with ocean views. Amazing restaurants and sushi all around with excellent service. All hotel staff was accommodating and helpful at all times. The only issue was some of the rooms have a musty/mold smell, and visible mold in bathroom and on vents. There is definitely a problem that needs to be addressed- unexpected for A stay at the W. We had to change rooms twice- I am highly allergic to mold and it being visible on top was just not the expectation. If we had been in the final room we ended up in it would have been a true 5 star stay, but unfortunately impacted our experience greatly as we changed twice over 2 days.

There are plenty of other lodging options on the beach with better service and worth the price. I booked a 2 bedroom suite for a wedding and although the website says early check in I was not checked in until 3:58 pm to a hotel room that was run down with poor lighting. Not to mention I had a reservation at their spa earlier that day and ate at their restaurant. Now The Away spa was very relaxing and worth it.

⭐ “W" Fort Lauderdale: Where style tries hard and comfort gives up. Walked into W Fort Lauderdale expecting that signature trendy vibe, but instead got a crash course in how to make guests feel simultaneously invisible and inconvenienced. The room looked like it was designed by someone who loves abstract art but hates actual comfort. The bed? Firm enough to double as a yoga plank. The AC sounded like a jet engine prepping for takeoff — relaxing? Not so much. Service was a masterclass in ‘do we even care?’ Attentive? Nope. Friendly? Only if you count blank stares as friendliness. Oh, and the pool area — Instagram-worthy, sure, but try finding a spot without feeling like you’re on display at a reality show for stressed-out people. One star because zero stars isn’t an option, and because surviving the stay felt like a personal achievement.
