We had a lovely stay at the wairakei resort, the facilities were great, the pools were so warm even in the middle if winter it was absolute bliss! The room was clean and fresh and the bed was super comfy. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet in the morning was top notch! Highly recommended staying at the resort if you want quality accommodation for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back :)
A great place as a base to explore the environment of Taupo, so much to do. The Resorts hotpools is amazing, to your use from early mrng to 9/11pm. Loved my stay. Rooms clean, carpets a bit worn and I can only hope new plants will be planted in your garden.
The bathroom had no proper ventilation, and there was a strange smell emanating from the toilets. Also no toothpaste provided when you should’ve at least expect this from a 4 star hotel. I didn’t see any problem with the staff as they were very friendly. Not sure I’d recommend this place for its price. We even booked it at a discount. Re-consider if you’re planning on staying at this place
