Waldorf Palace Hotel

I was here for business in Spring time where the weather was starting to warm up, especially in the nights. The local laws(?) meant that the AC wasnt operational so sleeping was quiet difficult as there are no fans in the room to circulate the air (even though the windows are open). It didnt help that the hotel would empty glass bottles into the outside dumpster several times during the night. Other than this a clean and pleasant hotel with a good breakfast, bar and pool.

I booked two rooms half year in advance (in January) for €945 for a vacation in July. Six days before my arrival they cancelled it, because my credit card has a standard daily limit, thus the deposit could not be applied. They sent me a warning email, that I had to react in two hours. As I didn't reacted such a short term, booking was cancelled. Not even a phone call they did. I called the hotel in one day, I had no other option only to accept a €1280 (€335 more than the original booking: 35%) offer for the same condition. Only one day earlier I asked if the booking is OK. So they knew it is still a valid booking from my side.

Don't book this Hotel. They don't follow any of international safety measures. Hotel manager and staff are extremely arrogant, irrespecutful and very bad with customers. Don't spend a cent in this Hotel. Your, your families health and well being is in danger. I had a bad accident due to their bad safety measures. The Hotel didn't only apologize but said we don't care what happend, go to authorities 😡 Accident details: when i entered the whirl pool my lower back was sucked by the whirlpool pump (large open hole 20x20cm badly. I was stuck their for 5 minutes and only people around the pool came and tried to help and no one from the Hotel came. Also only people went and brought me Ice to cool it and no one from the Hotel. I have a large swelling and my lower back 20x20cm is completly blue (internal bleeding). Thanks God that it happened to me and not any child or pregnant women or old people. All booking Plattforms should blacklist this Hotel and banned it. The most ugly, bad mannered person is the Hotel manager and owner. So please don't waste your money on this hotel if you care about your and others saftey!
