Orewa is a delightful town and well worth a visit and waves is a minute walk from the lovely beach and only a 5 minute walk from so many choices of restaurants and bars, for what we paid it was pretty good value for money and we would certainly book again
Great area, right by the beach. The room we stayed in was expensive for what we got. There were some things that needed fixing such as a loose toilet seat, switches that didn’t work, loose doorknobs etc… but the rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Overall, not bad.
Location was amazing. The lady at reception was lovely. The rooms were clean but that is where the good parts ended. The rooms are old and dated. There was missing plaster on the walls, ripped curtains and you had to step into a huge spa bath to even have a shower. This places needs a massive refurbish and the price is over inflated for the quality. We got a much better quality accomodation 30 minutes down the road and half the price. Would not stay again.
