Wawelberg Hotel

This hotel is truly outstanding ! I can’t think of a better choice in St Petersburg. The location, connectivity, the quality and architectural history, the ambitious project, all design choices, the rooms comfort and atmosphere the bed and furniture quality , the bathroom, and this unique touch and blend of built to last historical asset perfectly blended with modernity, creative design and top notch technology. Culture is all over the place with books and decorative choices, paintings and gems. The service and the staff were outstanding from beginning to end, and my entire guest experience was just seamless, smooth and easy as silk. To be honest it is quite rare to have such a zero mistake in hotels these days. Breakfast and restaurant are a pure delight and as a guest you just wish to define this as a your new standard and find it everywhere you go.

Everything was superb! A very kids friendly hotel, the rooms are clean and nicely maintained, our daughter enjoyed being spoiled by the crew and they showered her with gifts everyday! The location is perfect, walking distance to main points and many restaurants near by. One thing only we wish the breakfast buffet had more selections and more variations.. we stayed for 4 nights and we ate the same thing again and again .. unfortunately not too many options.. other than that staff and service is fast and very accommodating

Look at the photo evidence to see this is not Wawelberg is not worthy of a 5 star hotel. خدمة العملاء سيئة للغاية The terrible television image; despite 3 room changes we made during our stay each television had very bad screen interference and image problems; each time we viewed television the quality is very bad and screen freezes! IT personnel took over 3 hours over three occasions to try to fix the problem; no solution. See photo evidence of Walwelberg television screen below. Aggressive house keeping staff and very rude room service personnel. Our house keeping cleaner shouted at my wife and I twice on two separate occasions. We reported her to management we received standard sorry reply. The house keeping team did not clear glass. Imagine your child stepping on glass!!!!!’n Very warm gym feels like a sauna with gym user sweat and not enough water without fridge. You smell the horrible lingering sweat of other gym users in this small gym with no windows. The temperature is very high and sweat smells so strong and disgusting in the gym. Breakfast price is very confusing and you are required to pay extra cost; staff shouted at my wife over the phone for ordering outside the package deal because we were not made aware by management despite seeking clarity on all inclusive breakfast package. Breakfast room service each day for 3 weeks our coffee was cold and toast , eggs, porridge very cold and inedible. The management is not transparent Staff are contradicting each other daily and we feel this hotel has zero star customer service and support. Sergey ( hotel manager ) is a coward and he never had the courage to meet us despite our emails and justified need to discuss daily problems. Anton ( assistant manager ) is a clown who promises to fix everything and lies because nothing changes. All staff are so scared of Sergey and Anton and we found out that they were warned they would lose their jobs if they spoke out to support customers. Can you believe this ? This hotel has terrible customer focus and standard sorry is issued which is so lame for a 5 star hotel to keep repeating without fixing problems! Please do not make the mistake we did. We are genuinely trying to help others go through our nightmare at Wawelberg. Choose wisely; we wish we had, but if we can help others make an informed decision, so much the better.
